Helping Haiti Heal Donation Drive and Contest!
IMPORTANT EDIT: the contest for the Signature Items has been EXTENDED for an extra week until February 6! So if you still want to donate/enter for those (including the J.K. Rowling signed Harry Potter series, the Neil Gaiman book, etc.), you still have a chance!
They've also raised over $66,000 so far, wow. :-)
I've been tweeting about this, but it just occurred to me that I never made a blog post about it. Whoops! Let me rectify that.
The HP Alliance (Harry Potter Alliance) is holding a fundraiser called "Helping Haiti Heal." They are taking donations/contest entries until January 30th February 6th (for signature items) at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard time.

Here's how it works: you go to this page and pick out a prize (or prizes) you'd like to win. For a chance to win that prize, you donate the amount indicated for Haiti via Paypal with the button below that prize. Each donation counts as one entry. YOU ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO WIN THAT PRIZE; the donation just gives you a CHANCE to win it.
So if you do this, do this mainly to help Haiti, and as a bonus you can win some cool stuff.
